Thanks to Stacey McGinnis at Sunset Elementary, the students were able to learn about Mars and Maven! It started with the students learning about the atmosphere and topography of Mars. Then they were able to take a Virtual Field Trip and speak to scientists and engineers in the clean room at Lockheed Martin in Colorado! They were able to get a close look at MAVEN, which will be launched soon to record data in the Martian atmosphere.
The students had plenty of well thought out questions and were excited to speak to real scientists!
